What is Giclée Printing?
Giclée was first introduced in the late 1980's by artist Jack Duganne as a means to produce more than one of an original piece of art work. Still classified as 'fine art', Giclée prints involve a specialized, state-of-the-art high resolution inkjet printer to exactly reproduce the original work. Giclée prints at Photolab of Berkeley produce archival quality, continuous-tone, consistent and photorealistic prints on canvas, paper and a variety of mediums.
