Shipping policy

Where to Ship
Our processing facility and lab are located at:

We are also open to the public if you are in the Bay Area. 

Safe Shipping

We asked Federal Express (“FedEx”), United Parcel Service (“UPS”), and the US Postal Service (“USPS”) for advise on how to ship photographic film to us.

FedEx specifically said they do not X-ray packages or use other equipment that will harm light sensitive materials. We will take efforts to mark packages that contain equipment or materials that are light sensitive, but cannot guarantee that FedEx will actually handle any packages according to their policy.

UPS recommended that packages containing equipment or materials that are light sensitive be labeled "Photographic Film - Do Not X-ray," but said it was safe to ship unprocessed photographic film in their system. We will take efforts to mark packages that contain equipment or materials that are light sensitive with the appropriate label, but cannot guarantee that UPS will actually handle any packages according to their policy.

The local USPS postal union official told us that unofficially it is safe to ship photographic film in the US mails. In fact, we safely receive shipments from all these plus Airborne Express and others. We will take efforts to mark packages that contain equipment or materials that are light sensitive, but cannot guarantee that USPS will actually handle any packages according to their policy.

We have seen no damage to exposed film from either handling or radiation, but make no guarantees that any exposed film will not be damaged during shipping.

Return Shipping
We typically use Business First Class and Priority Mail as our default shipping methods. We can ship back using the above shippers if you request it.  Additional fees may apply.

Include your account number when ordering, or in a prompt written message after you place your order, and we will ship back to you using your account.

Drop Shipping / White Label Drop Shipping 
We can ship your order directly to your client if you provide us with the appropriate notice when making your order. When your order is shipped, the package will appear to be shipped from your address. All billing information will be sent only to you and your client will only receive a packing slip with the shipped package. Customized elegant packaging is available for an extra fee.

Drop shipping from print orders with negatives is also available. Negatives are never shipped to your client, unless specifically requested.

Delivery Issues

Lost or Stolen Packages: We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please ensure that your shipping address is secure.

Incorrect Address: If you provide an incorrect shipping address, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to assist you, but we cannot guarantee that the address can be changed after the order has been processed.

Delivery Delays: Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or customs clearance.
